Jake played at Colerain High School and Xavier University. At Colerain, he was awarded 1st Team All-Conference and was selected to the 2010 Mizuno All-Ohio Team. Jake was also a starter for Midland’s 2010 CABA National Championship Team. As a junior in college, he was honored with the Musketeer Award, this is presented to the athlete that embodies Xavier Baseball’s vision of values, work ethic, & culture. Jake went on to coach at the Varsity level at Colerain and Anderson High School. He also coached with former Cincinnati Red, Chris Sexton, on the Cincinnati Hornets summer travel team. Jake has a wealth of experience coaching and developing players that aspire to progress their careers towards the collegiate level and beyond.

Cory played at Colerain High School where he was awarded First Team All-Ohio and was selected to play in the 2016 Mizuno All-Ohio games. He played 10 years of summer ball under former Cincinnati Reds player Chris Sexton. Cory started his collegiate career at Wright State before deciding to transfer to Gulf Coast State College (Juco) where he earned First Team All-Panhandle conference. Following his junior college year, he was fortunate enough to spend his next 3 years at Jacksonville University where he led the team in stolen bases (2019), and doubles (2020). He helped lead the Dolphins to a conference championship and an NCAA Regional Appearance in 2021. Cory’s recent playing experience allows him to relate to players at any age or talent level.

Eddie has 13 plus years coaching experience. Including 2018 & 2019 Junior Varsity Head Baseball Coach at Cooper High School and the current Head Coach of Xtra Innings Baseball Club 14u AAA team for the 2021 season. He is certified in Driveline Hitting & Pitching and Rapsodo.
Fielding & Catcher Lessons
Micah has 7 years of coaching experience ranging from T-ball to JV High School. He is Driveline certified. 10 plus years catching experience including starting catcher for Simon Kenton Varsity baseball team. Micah is going into his 4th season as a head coach with the Xtra Innings Baseball Club. He is currently the head coach of the 11u AAA team for the 2021 season.
Scott is entering his 15th year of coaching high school baseball (the last 11 years as the Varsity Head Baseball Coach at Campbell County High School). Coach Schweitzer was an 18th round MLB draft pick in the 2002 draft, pitching with the St. Louis Cardinals organization from 2002 to 2006. He received his bachelor’s from Kentucky Wesleyan College and masters in education from NKU. He has a wealth of baseball knowledge, coaching many players to the collegiate level.
Brad has 17+ years of coaching experience. He was a USA Today Honorable Mention High School All American in 1998 and went on to play college level at Indiana University. Brad joined the Cape Cod League in 2000 and played for the Cotuit Kettleers. He was then drafted into the 16th round selection of Baltimore Orioles in 2001 and spent 3 seasons in the Orioles organization. After his time with the Orioles, Brad spent 2 seasons as the private instructor and Assistant Coach at Bedford North Lawrence High School then 3 seasons as a private instructor and Assistant Coach at Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia Beach.
Justin is a lifelong resident of Northern Ky and a baseball enthusiast, playing high school baseball for Boone County High School. He has coached many levels of youth baseball from T-ball to the high school level. He develops young players by teaching skills and building their confidence. Justin is also proficient in the use of Rapsodo Technology, combining technology with a technical approach that helps players see progress as they move through their lesson. He uses a structural approach that builds upon lesson to lesson.
Kyle is in his 11th year of coaching at the High School Varsity Level. He has a degree in Kinesiology & 7 years of field experience training physical performance for athletes. He has coached and instructed many players in the Greater Cincinnati area that have gone on to play at the collegiate level. Kyle specializes in teaching hitting with deep experience in the understanding & development of the maximizing individuals kinetic chain. He was the former Varsity Head Coach & Assistant Varsity Coach at Newport High School (Newport, KY) and Head Coach of an 8u select team. Kyle currently trains amateur & collegiate athletes and is the Assistant Varsity Coach at Beechwood High School (Fort Mitchell, KY) and Head Coach of 18u Xtra Innings Baseball Club, Team XI.
Matt is with Mission Valor Performance (MVP). Prior to MVP, he spent 9 seasons with the Cincinnati Reds in various roles such as Minor League Strength Coach, Major League Rehab Coordinator, and Major League Strength Coach. Prior to joining the Reds, he was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Mount St. Joseph University as well as a strength coach on Xavier Universities staff. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he was an assistant with the football team that went to back-to-back BCS bowl games. He went on to graduate from The University of Texas with a master’s degree in Kinesiology. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as a Registered Strength Coach through the NSCA. He is FMS certified, stick mobility certified, Delfi Blood Flow Restriction certified, Strong First Kettlebell Certified, and a USAW Level 1&2 strength coach. He resides in Cincinnati.
Lavar is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a graduate of Boone County High School, class of 1996. At Boone County, he was a member of the Class 4A State Runner-Up Football team, playing fullback, punter, kicker, and linebacker. He also competed on the Track and Field Team in both sprint and field events. Since 2005, Lavar has coached at various schools in the Northern Kentucky area on a volunteer basis. He believes all you student-athletes have untapped potential when it comes to understanding how to develop into standout athletes in their sport. While every sport is different, his passion is to help student athletes become stronger, faster, and well-rounded, allowing them to excel in their respective sport. Through his programs, Lavar believes each athlete can achieve success with the willingness to put in the hard work to gain a step up on the competition. Lavar will complete his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Kentucky University. He resides in NKY and is married with four children.
Wesley is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is a certified Group Fitness Instructor, along with other certifications in RIPPED, RUMBLE, Pound, and Kickboxing. Wes will be teaching Group Fitness and Kickboxing. Wesley’s passion for kickboxing started during his boxing days in the Marines Corps. He loves teaching fitness classes and lives by this motto, “It’s your workout, keep moving and stay positive.” Wesley is a Graduate of James A Shanks High School in Quincy, Florida, and has an Associates’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. He resides in Northern Kentucky and is married with children.
Pam is a longtime fitness enthusiast who has been teaching group fitness classes for over 10 years. She is an ACE certified instructor as well as certified in Pop Pilates. Pam enjoys meeting new people and guiding them through their fitness journey. She is married with two adult children and one granddaughter.
